Uproot

Uproot

Today I relocated a nectarine tree. I’ve had it for a few years and it never really produced. It survived, but it’s not thriving.

So I dug it up, thinned the roots and moved it to a different spot with some enriched soil.
The plan is to use it as root stock for some of my other stone fruit trees. If it goes as planned I’ll have a peach/plum cocktail tree in a central location.

The lesson here for me is, don’t be afraid to reconfigure your plan. Sometimes the best thing you can do is uproot and move to a new location with a new perspective on the future.

A change of plans can breathe new life into your path and totally change your trajectory for the better
