I receive a lot of messages from the garden. The one that continues to reveal itself is the idea of detaching from expectation.
Of course we plant seeds and trees with the intent of enjoying the harvest, but once we learned to find joy in the act of seeding, the game changes completely.
When you find yourself engulfed in the work and immersed in the craft, time passes differently. You do less waiting, and more moving. Less hoping and more living, taking full advantage of the unique beauty that is only found in feeding the future you want to exist in.
Before you know it, you stroll through your landscape and find gifts that you forgot sending yourself. When we enjoy the effort without expectation, the harvest is multiplied exponentially.
