Taking inventory of yourself doesn’t just include the shiny state of the art things that we keep out front on display.
It’s also the dusty, outdated and obsolete stuff that we’d rather not handle. It’s heavy and unappealing, and from our current perspective, embarrassing.
Even knowing all of that, it can be hard to just throw it away. It served us once by helping us reach the place where we realize it’s no longer necessary.
Everything has an expiration date. We have to give ourselves permission to release the things that don’t fit the new vision. Free up some space for newer and better things.
