One of the best decisions I’ve made for my own personal development has been to commit to (almost) daily meditation.
It has changed the way my brain and body handle conflict, anxiety and even self doubt. I never realized how much chatter happens inside my head until I began to achieve some internal quiet moments.
To anyone who is considering adding meditation to their tool kit, my biggest suggestion would be to manage your expectations. It’s not about achieving silence or reaching nirvana.
It’s an exercise, that if done correctly over time, will expand your consciousness and protect against reactionary emotions.
