Cult. From Latin “cultus” to tend to, care for, worship, or pay reverence to. Past participle of “Colere” to till. The root of words like cultivate and culture.
If we aren’t committed to the deliberate cultivation of ourselves, we invite the thorns and weeds that become the source of trauma and injury. We’ve been socialized to see this word as a negative, but the etymology reveals the true energy connected to it.
I am a leader in the cultivation of my highest self. I will enact the labor that is required to yield best harvest possible, to be spiritual nourishment for myself and the people I love.
This is the way.
